IIT Kharagpur Latest Updates
Registration for JEE Advanced 2025 will start on April 23, 2025, at jeeadv.ac.in. Only candidates who have qualified for JEE Main 2025 and are among the top 2.5 lakh rank holders are eligible to register. A student can appear for JEE Advanced only two times in consecutive years. Detailed eligibility criteria, registration guidelines, and other exam-related updates are available on the official website.
IIT Kharagpur has kicked off its placement drive for the academic batch of 2024-25 with an impressive start. By December 3, 2024, the institute achieved a significant milestone, securing over 1,000 placement offers within just three days of the Phase-I placement process. The drive, which began on December 1, has seen active participation from leading companies across various sectors, offering a wide range of roles to IIT Kharagpur students.
IIT Roorkee will conduct the GATE 2025 exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The branch-wise exam dates have also been announced. The registration process is over, and the GATE 2025 exam admit card will be available on January 2, 2025. Candidates registered for the exam can download the hall ticket at the GOAPS portal.
IIT Kharagpur Placement Drive 2024-25 officially kicked off on December 1, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey for the graduating batch of 2024-25. Held at the Nalanda Complex, Phase 1 of the placement season has already received impressive results, with over 800 offers (including pre-placement offers) recorded by Day 2.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is accepting applications for the Young Innovator Program online. As per the announced date, the last date to complete IIT Kharagpur Young Innovator Program 2024 registration is December 12, 2024. The GATE 2025 application form correction window will close (November 22, 2024) for registered PwD candidates. Applicants must visit the GATE’s official website- gate2025.iitr.ac.in to make changes or modifications at the GOAPS portal.
IIT Roorkee has released the GATE 2025 timetable on their official website (gate2025.iitr.ac.in). The exam will be held in two sessions over the weekends from February 1 to 16, 2025. The morning session will take place from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while the afternoon session will be scheduled from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
IIT Roorkee has opened the facility to add a secondary GATE 2025 test paper. Registration for GATE 2025 is closed, but candidates can still add a paper.
IIT Kanpur has released the syllabus for JEE Advanced 2025, with no changes from previous years. The syllabus covers Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.
JEE Advanced 2025 candidates now have three attempts instead of two. Age requirements and other eligibility criteria remain unchanged.

Dear student, The IIT Kharagpur does offer Joint MSc PhD Programmes in Molecular Medical Microbiology, Medical Physics, and Nuclear Medicine. These courses are offered under the Head School of Medical Science and Technology. Currently, the Medical Physics and Nuclear Medicine courses at IIT Kharagpur are paused because the courses have pending Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) approval.
